The day a girl is born she is expected to behave a certain way Needless to say the treatment for a boy and a girl is  completely different in majority of households By the time girl enters the teenage she is expected to be in a certain attire, not to be overfriendly (especially to boys), study hard, find herself a job, earn money and finally settle down for a marriage The only motive of the parents is to find a suitable match for their daughter as soon as she attains a  certain  age.
