Women and expectations

The day a girl is born she is expected to behave a certain way

Needless to say the treatment for a boy and a girl is  completely different in majority of households
By the time girl enters the teenage she is expected to be in a certain attire, not to be overfriendly (especially to boys), study hard, find herself a job, earn money and finally settle down for a marriage

The only motive of the parents is to find a suitable match for their daughter as soon as she attains a  certain  age.

Society pressure is the main reason why parents look out for prospective grooms for their daughters.

Once she is married to a boy, Be it of her choice or of parent's choice she is expected to be ideal wife , ideal daughter and an ideal Mother.

In other words she has to leave all her aspirations , likes, dislikes, hobbies ,interest behind and find herself in a place where she has to be the one who is capable of being  obidient, disciplined, multitasking, well mannered , cultured.. and the list goes on..

One mistake and she is considered to be irresponsible imperfect , useless, impulsive , agressive , emotionless,  self centric and again the list goes on ..

Post marriage the next big expectation for a women is bearing a child
No matter what her aspirations are , no matter what she wants from her life / career , no matter if she is prepared to deal with the pregnancy so soon .
But who cares.
If a 'X' lady can have a child at a tender age then why can't 'Y' lady ?

And who says women can't live their life after kids ?
Ofcourse they can -
They can very well master the art of multitasking by then , put all their efforts and energy in handling kids ,husbands, inlaws and still, One mistake and she is slammed to be a bad wife , bad mother , and a bad daughter-in-law

Ofcourse she can work and still concentrate on her career after kids, but she has to sacrifice on her health
In the race of managing career, work and home she becomes a person which 'she is expected to be'and not 'what she wants to be'

Lately things are changing due to the wave of feminism
Women are speaking up for themselves and for the generations to come 
Fathers are taking equal responsibilities in handling their kids and household chores

Balancing work & home
Taking care and nurturing the children is the responsibility of both the parents
We are preparing and setting an example for the future generations
Kids learn form their parents and surroundings
Only we have the capability of making surroundings safe and happy for our children and thus shaping their futrure and providing them to be in a better place to live for years together
