Weekend Stay at Vivaant Retreat Igatpuri
With the increasing demand for the weekend gateways, we usually find all the resorts fully booked during the long weekends
Visiting places like Lonavala, Mahabaleswar, Matheran, Alibaug can be quite monotonous as everyone has been to these places more than once
we were a group of 4 families with kids, therefore we wanted a place where we all can stay together in a villa set-up instead of a typical hotel room.
we searched for many options online on MMT, booking.com etc
most of them were either booked or were too expensive as it was a long weekend holiday
we came across an option of Vivaant Retreat which is in Igatpuri and is highway touch
Vivaat Retreat had an option for a villa stay whereby we all could stay together
we saw the images online and also called the resort for bookings, we read some reviews before booking
some reviews were not in the favor of the resort, however since we did not have any options left, we had to try this for our weekend stay
we made sure that we informed the resort authorities to keep the place clean and also since we had kids with us the menu preferred was kids friendly
This place was around 2.5 hours drive from our place and usually there is no rush on this route.
We Reached well in time and were handed over the rooms quickly
The rooms were clean and well maintained.
We freshened up and started exploring the resort.
Kids were happy to see the swimming pool, it was super clean but the water was super cool
Although kids jumped into the pool, we could not gather the courage to dive into the pool as the water was freezing cold
We spent some time by the pool then headed for lunch at their in-house restaurant.
Food options were limited and the food was not kid friendly at all.
still we managed to feed the kids somehow and went back to our rooms for some rest
DJ night was an attraction in the evening.
We enjoyed dancing on some top dance numbers and kids too had some fun
Post the dj we headed for dinner which was a fixed menu of chinese and pav bhaji
kids relished the dishes served for dinner
next day we woke up early morning and took a stroll at the resort property. it was cold and pleasent. we had our breakfast which was not that great. however we somehow ate some stuff and then checked out of the resort
The overall experience was good as the place is clean and pleasent
kids enjoyed being together and got ample space to play and run around at the resort
so if you wish to plan for a small and a budget friendly option vivaant retreat, Igatpuri is a good option to plan for
