What did I learn in a 40 day lockdown
What did I learn during the 40-day lockdown ??
- Life is unpredictable and life does not happen as we plan. Many times we expect and plan a certain thing- for example, a long Holiday, all this comes to a standstill when there are unpredictable circumstances that show up and you just have to go with the flow and not get miserable.
- Dependency on a sole income source- we usually depend on the sole income source at a given point in time, but that's risky when it comes to such a situation. All we need is a backup plan ready during such calamities or an unexplained pandemic.
- Upgrade your skills- This pandemic has definitely given us more time to discover our strengths and weaknesses. instead of wasting this precious time in self-entertainment, it's best to utilize this time for upgrading your skills and knowledge in any form whatsoever.
- Inculcating values and developing a sense of responsibility amongst the younger generation - life is not a bed of roses. It can be harsh sometimes. Acting responsibly makes a lot of sense during such a crisis.
- Toddlers are not always fun, however, they are far more patient and responsible than us-Adults.
- Being innovative and creative is the need of an hour. I personally tried all new and innovative ideas and fun games to keep my kid occupied. especially, when you know, you have to be their friend, parent, entertainer & teacher all at the same time.
- It's liberating not to socialize and be with your own self for a certain period of time. This gives you a broader perspective on life.
- Video calling your family members has become a routine.
- Miss munching on mom-made dishes and vada pav
- Learned innovative cooking hacks with limited groceries.
- Succeeded in living a minimalistic life. Luxuries no longer matter. Looks no longer matter.
- Tried hands-on Video Editing, blogging, making round chapatis, singing, dancing to fine-tunes, reading and actually came across new words like - quarantine, lockdown, incubation period, plasma therapy, Hydroxychloroquine, coronavirus, deadly virus, janata curfew to name a few
- The most powerful country in the world could not maintain the spread of this unexpected pandemic.
- doctors and all the paramedical staff including the police forces and soldiers are our real heroes
- Maintaining sanity in this situation is the most important aspect
- Nature is at its best when there is no human interference
- Last but not least realized the importance of bai (maid). The true queen who rules EVERY household
- Hope for the Best prepare for the worst
