Super easy Panner and Paneer chilly recipe
Paneer Chilly is a magical dish for vegetarians
Paneer is a rich source of protein and has numerous health benefits
It strengthens the bones and teeth
During the lockdown, it has become difficult to find fresh dairy products like cheese and paneer, However, milk is easily available.
Therefore the best idea is to make some fresh paneer at home.
Paneer Recipe
Ingredients :
1-liter fresh milk
1 lemon
Procedure
Start with boiling the milk in a vessel
Add lemon juice to the milk, few drops at a time
Milk then separates the fats and leaves behind transparent water
Switch off the flame and let it cool down a bit
Strain the transparent water and collect the separated panner in a muslin cloth
Tie the panner in the cloth tightly and keep it aside till it forms a perfect shape
You may also put a heavy object on the paneer cloth for some time till all the water gets completely drained off
Within a few minutes, your panner will be ready
You may also keep it in the fridge for some time so that it holds a perfect shape and becomes thick
Paneer chilly recipe
Ingredients
100 gms Paneer
Chopped onion
Chopped capsicum
Chopped Carrot
Spring onion for garnishing
Soya sauce
chilly sauce
one tablespoon cornflour
maggie masala cube
oil for cooking
Green chillies 2-4 slit
Ginger garlic paste one tablespoon
Salt to taste
Procedure
Heat oil in a pan
Add ginger-garlic paste
Add slit chillies
Add chopped veggies
Add soya and chilly sauce
Let the flame be on high
Saute for about 2-3 minutes
Add a maggie masala cube to the pan
In a separate bowl add a spoon of cornflour and add some water
Beat the cornflour mixture and check for any lumps
Add the cornflour paste to the pan
add additional water in case you want a runny gravy
Boil the mixture till it becomes thick
Add paneer cubes to the pan and saute for a minute
Garnish with fresh spring onions
Your paneer chilly is ready to munch on
Pro-Tip
You may saute the paneer cubes in butter for a minute and add it to the pan for added flavours and crispy texture
